I'm looking to buy a new computer soon. I'll just be using it to go online and maybe do some schoolwork for online classes. I'm on the computer pretty much all day, every day. My budget in the $400-$500 range. What's the price range for a GOOD computer?

I want a desktop computer.

What computer should I buy?

How cheap are you? You could always buy it from Craigslist or build one yourself to save yourself money.

A "good" computer will probably cost you at least twice of what you want to spend.
If you're only going to use it to shitpost and do school work then literally anything will do (like >>811517 said).

You probably want to invest into a good monitor too, that's another $100-$200.

I bought all my parts more then 5 years ago and I can still run nearly 90% of everything. There's the occasional game that I can't run ultra graphics but who cares
