Why don't you try Ubuntu's new LTS that just released?

Ubuntu is an ancient African word meaning "I can't install Debian".

did it a little bit after i made this thread and yeah, i never started my x stuff. im still sort of in the dark on a lot of things but i got it up and running. thank you for the help!
