I wanna get into music. Everyone I know loves music, and I know nothing about even the most normie of musicians. What are some gateway songs or bands? I like most rock and some classical.

Go listen gta rock radios on Youtube or something. Give them a couple songs, and if you don't like it switch to some other genre. No idea on current songs.

Find literally any song you actually like, and stick the band into http://everynoise.com/

This will tell you what the genre you like is called (so you can talk about it and people will know what you're talking about) and suggest dozens of other bands that you might like. You can stay put, or you can amble from genre to genre.
