What freaking alarm clock should I get?
I want one that I can use custom alarm as in mp3 or whatever format but that asking a lot I guess, and it needs to be a stand alone device thats what I want. plug in wall with battery backup, usb for phone charging is a plus.

I fall alseep watching stuff at low volume, the alarm stays on that low volume.

I'm not convinced a dedicated alarm clock will fix your problem but then again I haven't used one in well over a decade.

No you don't, the whole point of an alarm is to wake you up, so it can't be something you're familiar with. Use a radio alarm, and set it to any kind of talk radio.
