I save all things I like from the internet into a single external toshiba usb drive that is always hooked up to my PC, which is on for around 16 hours daily. As I understand it can fail me with little notice and all my years worth of stuff would disappear. I also read this can happen even if I just store the drive away forever, something about data rot. As you can see I have little idea about any of this.
Requesting to know how to store things in a reliable, preferably not too expensive or complicated way.
