>>853138That's not the point. The point is I gave 7 years of my life to an interest, to entertainment. I worked so hard, sunk so many hours into it, for what? What's the best thing that could have come out of it? All this so I can watch anime and read books in japanese? So I can play games? It's preposterous and you won't get any contentment out of it.
Eventually (and it won't take long), the magic runs out. Japan becomes just another country, anime becomes just another show, what you play becomes just another game. Then you'll be forced to face the fact that you neglected all aspects of your life for entertainment. You'll look to what you have and find nothing there. Best case scenario you'll be like gimmeabreakman who said the magic left after 7 years and now it's like he's in any other country, worst case scenario you'll be like tkyosam or his friend mark, people who just indulged and indulged and indulged and are now in a sorry state. I'm not ragging on you, just warning you to get out because I sincerely think it would improve your life. Yesterday marks the one year anniversary of me leaving this stuff behind and only good has come out of it.
Just something to stew on
