I guess I’ll just stick to keeping everything on my hard drive in that case. Media servers sound great on paper but i have yet to find one that isn’t dogshit

It seems easier to put my video files onto a usb or external hard drive and watch them from there. Even easier to just plug my laptop straight in using a HDMI. Are media servers really that good?
