Hi, i have a car battery that is being constantly charged and used.
The voltage is slowly dropping cause half hour ago i added a new utilizer.
Can i add to the battery a power supply to help the battery charger to charge the battery or it ll mess up the battery charger?
The power supply i wanna add is 12v 2a

Lead acid batteries are nominally 12V, but their charged voltage is more like 14V. A regulated 12V supply won't charge them.

i can find some 19v power supply, maybe i ll add a step down module to lower the voltage to 14v and then it would work
But would an external power supply in parallel to the battery charger itself mess up something or is it safe to do?

It's a really stupid idea. Get a more powerful charger and/or use a proper battery management circuit.

Do i look like someone who knows what he needs?

I checked already and my charger gives 12v 5a max output, cant find any better
And no i dont even consume 5a so idk i guess what is written on the charger is fake

Hello, it happens, nothing new, you can try to add a power supply, but when I remember my last similar situation, something tells me that calling some electricians is the best thing you can do. You can find some good electricians onhttps://bates-electric.com/locations/st-louis-mo/. I am using their services since 2018and I am pleased with them. Even I can do a lot of things by myself, like changing a light that went out, or connecting to wires, In my opinion, it is better to let the professionals make their job
