>>899704Interesting, I see where you're coming from.
I like those ideas. As for ROMs and ISOs, looking at the /vg/ emulation wiki will give you a great list of where to find them, as well as good emulators so we could just link there.
I think maybe frequent requests can also be included in the Wiki. Recently there's been a few people asking how to make those images where the thumbnail shows one image but the expanded image shows another. A lot of people ask for that "Her." comic, among other things like that. Might be good to have them readily available there.
A guide to make webms would also be useful, as the stuff on
>>>/wsg/ isn't that comprehensive.
However, as I'm typing this, I think there could be a danger in making the wiki a bit too extensive. If the wiki starts encompassing everything, then there'll be lesser use for the board itself. A lot of requests could just be fulfilled by looking at the wiki, which means we'd just get filled with loads of sauce threads perhaps instead, and less interesting threads because a lot of things can get directed to the wiki. Even though we can have repetitive threads, it's nice getting different input in them sometimes and different posts from anons
Maybe I'm wrong, just a thought that popped into my head
>one of us needs to become a janitor when the next round of applications starts.I don't think this would help, because as bad as these threads may be, they technically are not against the rules/
It's just the "sauce on this random chick #345" and thinly veiled coom threads that get grating because they're just so low effort and frequent at this point. I'd rather just have a general for it so it can be hidden, but generals don't work on /wsr/.
