There is next to no plot.
All the animation is pretty static.
Every 20 minutes the main female character is getting raped for no fucking reason.
It all ends in an anticlimactic shit nothing.

If you wanna watch something from that series, just go with Demon City Shinjuku, but either are in no way considered Kino.

I've seen almost all of the gundam series and desu I disliked Zeta. Gundam Wing is okay but its starting to show its age. Gundam 00 is like a more modern Wing so maybe check that one out, the Gundam Thunderbolt and Origin OVA's are also fantastic.

Watch the berserk series/movies.
Watch Parasyte.
Watch Monster.
Watch Devilman Crybaby.
Watch Attack on Titan.
should keep anyone busy for a while, these are all "MANime's" so don't expect much kawaii uguu stuff that often happens in Zeta.

Out of those you listed, I'd only recommend Parasyte to OP. It's a fairly faithful adaptation to the 80s manga so it has that vintage feel despite being modernized.

Berserk you should read the manga. Devilman Crybaby is alright but don't know why it's so highly acclaimed. AoT is good but too modern. Never read Monster but heard it's pretty good.

Cowboy Bebop is one of those animes that is so well-known and nearly universally acclaimed that people don't bother to recommend it. If they googled "top 10 anime" or "recommended anime" it should be on every list. If they're on a Taishanese tea making board like this they've probably seen it.
