i already have the data neatly arranged (both text data and images). Is there a program that allows me to do this automatically or almost automatically?

if you want more details my data is an ordered csv file
title,value,detailstext
and all the images are in a folder ("1.jpg","2.jgp","3.jpg")

first, you can try concatenating all your .jpgs into a single horizontal strip using this:
https://legacy.imagemagick.org/Usage/montage/
then you can use ffmpeg to pan across the montage:
ffmpeg -loop 1 -i montage.png -vf crop=102:102:n:0 -frames:v 8880 out.webm
i'll post some more examples soon

thanks dude but if i where to do this i don't think a slideshow is worth the hassle, i could just generate the final image (printing the data text in the image) and then using ffmpeg to make it idk, 0.5 fps

yes. that is what I was proposing. the 'montage' tool creates grids and strips of images, not slideshows.

example: for instance, I can use these two imagemagick commands to break apart this 9x5 grid of faces into 45 separate files, and then recombine them into a horizontal strip

convert heads.jpg -crop 11.111%x20% +repage piece_%d.png
montage piece_*.png -tile x1 montage.png

here is the result (the original isn't perfectly aligned, so some of the pipes are getting clipped).

then I can use ffmpeg to pan across it:
ffmpeg -loop 1 -i montage.png -vf crop='126:126:10*n:0' -frames:v 576 heads.webm

here is the result.

in the previous command,
>crop='126:126:10*n:0'
126x126 is the size of the scrolling window
10*n means to move right 10 pixels each frame. you can adjust this parameter as needed to achieve different fps.

this is the total number of frames to create. i used the width of the input image in pixels to make sure it would pan across the whole thing.
