Long ago I had watched a cartoon about aliens who made a launch base at the dark side of the Moon and bombarded Earth with asteroids from there. At some of the last episodes humans discover it and sent a shuttle there to wreck them and shit.
It was aired probably in between 2000 and 2003, thats all I can recall.
