That way you can write any number and therefore any text/information, say for example
1 = a, 10 = b, 11 = c, 100 = d, etc.
You just add an additional step.
A group of 0 and 1 build a letter (symbols, digits,...).
A group of letters build a word (say in English).
A group of words build a sentence, a concept, or an idea.
If something cannot be described with the current symbols, you add them as a new 0-1-sequence.
That way you can describe (nearly*) all concepts as a looong bunch of 0, 1, and spaces.
* since we are still limited to the things that we can observe and understand.
