If you knew anything about this board you'd know OP's come around, then abandon their threads more often than not. OP didn't return, he clearly didn't know how the board works since he genuinely thought it took a while and was being an ungrateful shit. He took what he needed and left, why on earth would you think he'd come back to his thread a week later when 2 hours was "a while" to him?

If that was actually OP he'd have addressed the issue way sooner. I bet if you went back and checked, the guy pretending to be OP only popped up after the thread was linked to /qa/.

I also agree with your post here. I've contributed to the wiki, but I also have similar concerns in that it kind of diminishes the purpose of the board
Even though we get repeated requests, it's still nice having different takes on things and different anons answering as opposed to getting one generic answer of "check wiki lol"
The only saving grace of this is I doubt the wiki gets too widespread, so you'll probably have a handful of anons link to it while business carries on as usual

You put your one request into one thread to accomplish two things:
- because every request is in the opening post of a thread, every request can be seen (and searched) in the catalogue and in the page view, and can be searched in the archive
- filled/neglected requests get pushed off the back of the board automatically, and OP is free to bump if he cares that much

I see a few problems.

First, the janitors here do delete 4cc threads. I've seen it happen before, so there's really no room to grow when we can't discuss anything on the board itself. /wsr/ never really gets very meta, threads like this are a rarity as is

And that leads to the problem of not enough people seeing the suggestion or knowing about it. So not many can say they're in favour or even against the idea and why since probably only a handful on the board have seen the idea.

Finally there's the whole manager thing. I'd be willing to help out with a /wsr/ 4cc team, but I have a laptop with Intel UHD graphics, it might run PES but it'll be slow, so I can't manage the team or anything unless we kind of just go for it blindly and do no testing and just send a team out and hope for the best.
