I recently got back into an old webcomic called "Erfworld" and I'm really enjoying it. Looking back I also really liked the first season of Code Geass and I was wondering if there was more like this kinda stuff.

Specifically: Is there a name for this genre where the protagonist is leading some kind of military force and the main plot/conflict resolution involves them defeating an enemy using tactic, strategy, and or political maneuvering. Any good recommendations for stories that are like this?
