I'm trying to move files off of my mom's Macbook to her new computer. She has several dozen GBs of pictures, nothing too extreme. But the speed is beyond extremely slow. It literally took over 24 hours to transfer 800 MB of files to a flash drive. What the fuck is wrong? Tried a different flash drive, different USB port, different files, same result.
It's like the Macbook is holding her files hostage. There is nothing else wrong with it other than the battery being being worthless which shouldn't affect this.
