>>950743Definitely give Monster a shot, it starts off slow so you will have to bear the beginning but after a few episodes it really gets rolling and its a game of cat and mouse. There is no legal way to stream it so you have to either watch the dub on YouTube or on illegal piracy sites. The show doesn't feel like typical anime with fan service and common tropes and has 74 episodes.
https://myanimelist.net/anime/19/MonsterAnother one I highly recommend is Kuuchuu Buranko (Translated as Trapeeze). This show may turn you away at first because of its distinct art style but its educational and keeps your attention. The characters are relatable or at least sympathetic and they feel like real people. Every episode is its own psychology case and each episode while not being canonical is linked together which will make sense the more you watch. Give this show 3 episodes before you drop it.
https://myanimelist.net/anime/6774/Kuuchuu_BurankoThese past 2 recommendations have been anime that have jumped outside of the the box that is expected in typical anime. Something more normal, but excels at showing what is good about anime is Steins;Gate (If you decide to watch, google the watch order). This show also has a very slow start, things don't start to happen until halfway through the show. You will most likely get bored but it is worth it for the ending and it is very crucial as you will see later on. S;G is a story about time travel and consequences of meddling with the past. It is extremely emotional and i recommend not googling anything about it that there are no spoilers, just look at spoiler-less reviews. It's rated #2 in top rated anime on myanimelist.
