It wouldn't help OP at all unless he was developing virus which requires being run on root in the first place.
I can honestly say that in my 13+ years using linux not once has sudo saved me from doing something unfixably stupid.
>Press "run" or "debug" in your IDE, and it will run the virus on your development PC.>just never press the self-destruct button broI can honestly say that such thing never happened to me. I sometimes accidentally run a program I'm just debugging before I want to, but it is always a program which I run dozens of times just before that. That will not happen in this case.
But again after our conversation in this thread I'm starting to believe that it could easily happen to you.
>>954090Funny talking about moving goal posts when it's you who protested that advising noob to test his own shit in VMs on airgapped machine is not retarded. I can't prevent myself from noticing that you moved from that to just more reasonable lysine deficiency.
And my initial assertion didn't change from the beginning - for normal person chance to accidentally run his own virus is small compared to all the other ways he can screw up, so it's not worth the effort to take precautions against the small thing.
It's you and the other tard who think that everyone is idiot or that using sudo will significantly decrease chance of screwing up. Neither of those is true.
Dunno if I'll remember to check this thread while at home.
