i'm looking for more anime/manga recs. pic related are the stuff i liked and kept my attention.
i like interesting premises, likeable (or at least understandable) characters, high stakes that feel like actual high stakes and twists.

would prefer if ecchi and fan service was toned way down, even if it means eliminating female characters altogether.

i've already read/watched or started reading:

loved it when it came out, but i can't bring myself to re-watch it because knowing near and mello exists makes me disappointed.

it's ok, but i'm too much of a brainlet to follow some of their rules and their plans and it gets really wordy and they tell more than they show.

watched it all, maybe it's my fault for expecting so much out of it but i felt let down by the hype surrounding it. pretty boring imo.

interesting but dragged a lot. literally watched it for ergo proxy's cool mask design.

i tried watching this but dropped it early because it didn't catch my attention. dunno if i should continue.
