Judging by description it's not exactly what I had in mind. The important part is that the girl becomes bad on her own will, because she starts liking the sense of superiority / advantage using her powers against the others gives her. Thanks for the recommendation, though.

Sayaka from Madoka? I've only seen TV series but didn't Sayaka break and became a witch out of being edgy? And only then she would fight her friends? That's how I remember it at last, I've seen this show long time ago.

Yeah, I was going to post Sayaka from Madoka, too, but she doesn't exactly fit your description, since she isn't really a character after transforming into a witch, while you seem to be looking for a heroine that ends up betraying the group and becoming a main or side villain.
