I think they might have picked the safest homos to collab with the girls, Oga collabs with hololive the most frequent as I can recall, and Octavio is the biggest runt but has never had a holo collab.

The two biggest homos for each branch is Roberu for JP (Who seems to avoid holo collabs like the plague) and Bettel for EN (Also similarly avoids holo collabs)

It's strange that many /here/ forget that these girls had already "made it" in some capacity. At the very least they were successful enough to get noticed and while Holo is an undeniable buff they all kept their audience after the buff. Even the smaller Holo grew in time, hell look at Towa who was called a runt back in the day.
