I'll tell you the synchronicity bit first: he said that when he was in Japan he dreamed of his dead father, and when he went to the airport the daughter of one of the Japanese big shots from our buddhist school told him she also dreamed of his father telling her that he was proud of his son and that he wished to apologize to him.
And then in his NDE he had a brief cardiac arrest and felt transported to a dimension with a transparent floor and a clear bright sky. In that place his dead aunt addressed him as well as other people who had a sketched look. When he came to his senses he was laying on the restaurant floor while his friends were trying to bring him back.
