the weird retelling of hw2 is that we apparently had a one of the 3 special hyperspace core in existence which we didnt know in the original game. the retcon from the prequel kharak is that we apparently knew the existence of taidan empire but we didnt in the original until we got back from nearly dying in our first hyperspace jump test. hmmm...... i think.
