well it's a month from now. but nah, i'll just pack my shit and take it to my uncle's over the next couple of weekends. leaving places is easy when i have him as a backup. you know, i actually looked up my landlord when i moved in and he's a professor of game theory in some university. this whole situation was some terrible game theoring of him, even assuming he finds a way of cheating me out of my deposit. basically he had no leverage over me and he knew it. finding reliable tenants that pay on time is way harder than finding places to live in right now. when i moved in this place, it had been on offer for 6 months. i know because i called him up in january when covid started, we agreed to meet up and then the quarantine hit and then i called him up in august-september the same year when things in my company had stabilized and i knew i could afford it and it was still available. i doubt the war has made the market better.
