>>14643148but it's not actually a schedule really. the only issue before was that all i need to graduate is 6ish upper division classes, but every single upper division class requires you to pass japanese 4 first. since that's what i'm doing now i can basically choose any classes i want to finish up. there are still some with more prerequisites like japanese 6 or "professional purposes" but now if i don't want to take japanese 6 then i don't have to take japanese 5 either.
that being said my choices do end up pretty limited if i want to graduate as soon as possible since the department isn't really huge so there aren't a ton of classes offered. in an ideal world my last 6 classes would be japanese 5-8 + professional purpose 1-2, but that would take me another 4 semesters since 5-8 would have to be taken one at a time
what i'm realizing now is that i have 3 big options open to me. the easiest one would be to take japanese 5, linguistics, intro to literature, readings/culture, writing systems, and a second individual study which would be a heavier than normal schedule with some classes i expect not to care about, but then i'd graduate. if i stuck just to classes i cared about like japanese 5, linguistics, and literature then i'd still have a lighter schedule and after that i could either try to get my last 3 classes done abroad or stay here and get in japanese 6 and professional purpose 1 with only 1 filler class.
is that supposed to be a reference to something?
