While I am a Western Civilization Patriot (at least, a fan of Western Civilization and what it stood for and achieved in the past), I also bear no ill will to other peoples and nations in general. Everyone should be judged just as an individual, not as a member of a group -- including Whites, for that matter.
It is great to see the Guyanese prospering from their oil wealth and leading better lives. This is how the West should be: using its high tech to help mineral rich impoverished countries develop their natural wealth in a mutually beneficial relationship. The Western corporations profit, and thus do Western workers, and the Guyanese workers and companies and government prosper as well.
Real free trade and business partnerships can lift all boats.
As I have said before: Coal, since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution 250 years ago in Britain, and then spreading around the world (first to Europe and America), has lifted billions of people from poverty, and petroleum and, now, natural gas have not been slouches either in this humanitarian work.
We owe so much to carbon energy, all of us who wish to lead good lives in a modern civilization.
