It's as simple as using ~1/4 cup of leaves and rinsing them for 5-10 seconds twice, pouring that water out before brewing. Then you do multiple steeps of 20-30 seconds. It works because caffeine is way more water soluble than other xanthines. So you remove 90%+ of it with those rinses and then you can enjoy a megadose of theobromine, theophylline and such. They aren't assholes like caffeine, you won't get jitters or anxiety. Literally get high off tea.
