Her apparent clueless innocence to the world rendered her something of a blank slate, and Nikki toyed with the idea of misleading her in a variety of amusing ways, then observing the results. But once the laughs were over, Valari would surely realise what Nikki had done, and then she’d have alienated the only other person she’s ever met that could see and hear Coco. So as the limo rolls into motion, Nikki responds honestly.
“Well this specific party is hosted by Priscilla Divine to celebrate her 300 days as champion. She’s been a friend of mine for most of my time in WWA as a member of The Divine Angels, though we fell out a bit recently when she kept overlooking the rest of us for two dumb dojo girls she befriended. Anyway, Prissy’s got super rich parents and her dad owns the hotel the party is at, so she was able to get an entire floor sectioned off for it.”
Nikki grins mischievously. “It’s a pool party, so bikinis only. Knowing Priscilla, the pool theme is an excuse to have everyone as scantily clad as possible. Point is, that fancy frock of yours won’t do.”
Nikki rubs her chin. “But I guess you probably don’t have a bikini of your own. That’s fine, I’ve got plenty over at my place, you can squeeze into one of em. We’ll just go there to get changed then head over to the party, ok?”

Some time later, Nikki arrives at her home with Valari. As she pushes the front door open she’s greeted by a meowing cat. “Oh Scratchy, I haven’t been around much lately have I?” She opens a tin of tuna and places it on the floor, petting the cat’s head as it begins to eat, before leading Valari to her room.
“No peeking,” Nikki whispers. “Or maybe just a little peeking.” She giggles, slowly stripping out of the outfit she wore to The Kingdom, then exchanging it for a black bikini.
“See anything you like?” Nikki grins, then gestures toward the bikini collection in her closet.
