The aorta is head artery of the body, the one that takes the blood from your left ventriculus. It then branches out into several smaller arteries (then even smaller arteries (arterioles)) then even smaller capillaries (where the exchange happens) - after that they turn into venules and finally veins, then back to the heart! ^-^
There is surely only one aorta though!
