There are so many commonalities because many people don't realize that forms of Buddhism have long-developed systems of remote viewing, telekinesis, paranormal abilities.
https://www.amazon.com/Matrix-Mystery-Scientific-Humanistic-rDzogs-chen/dp/1570626499/ This author is one of my favorites, he's a Canadian scholar who was also an ancient language polymath, spoke Proto-Chinese, Sanskrit, Early Tibetan, and also interacted with many mountain hermits who never committed their ideas to text. Dzogchen, which this particular book is on, is kind of like a combo of Zen + Tibetan Vajrayana + Shamanism.
And of course, I decided to frame all these things in a rather unorthodox way because human culture has become sort of strange lately... I figured I'd speak in an eccentric style just because it'd be of more potential interest than a more simple style ;p.
