>>13782982>taking responsibilitythere's a reason i put here in quotes
>>13783024a little of both. almost every exercise we do in class is just parroting conjugations back at the professor and most "projects" we get are akin to "make 5 sentences that start with 'i want' and include pictures to go along with them." the workbook problems we're assigned are a bit better about this, but maybe 3 or 4 questions a chapter (about 2 weeks of content) are more than just applying a single explicitly stated pattern + recalling vocabulary.
i think the worst part of it all is that despite the pace many people are still struggling a LOT, but every professor seems to agree that the solution is to slow down more rather than fail students who can't remember things we covered 3 months ago and never stopped using.
yeah, i know what you mean. i certainly think it's a very reasonable idea, though my big two big warnings would be that since instagram posts are self contained it's a lot harder to use context for help like you could with a kdrama or manhwa and assuming that korean is like japanese (which i've been told at every turn it very much is) then it'll probably be a long time before you're guessing what suffixes mean without a ton of the aforementioned contextual help.
