My dad brush his teeth once a day, in the morning. So he goes to bed with plaque filled teeth and it his room fucking stinks because he opens his mouth when he sleeps. It's so fucking disgusting that my mom sleeps in a different room. He used to smoke, so it was even worse back then.
Half of his teeth got yanked out of his teeth because of decay. The rest are yellow/black. There's so much calculus on the bottom half of his teeth that they look fused together. Big related is what happens with 20 years of no brushing, so he's not quite as bad as this.
When the orthodontist tells him to brush his teeth more regularly so his teeth don't rot away and so his breath doesn't smell like death, he says brushing is not the issue and that the orthodontist doesn't know what he's talking about.
So it's basically the same as the diabetic fat shit stories in this thread. Doctor tells you all you have to do is stop consuming sugar and carbs, and you'll stop being diabetic. Stop eating garbage shit, and you won't need your toes/foot/leg chopped off and you won't die. And all they can say is "nah, not gonna do it, also, you're wrong doctor, you stupid faggot".
