Hi, guys. Please help me verify something. I have a vial of ethanol cbd tincture, which has been tested to be 5% cbd (mass, not volume). In order to get the cbd content in mg per ml, I did the following. Being the semi-functional retard that I am, I'd really appreciate if someone could tell me whether this is accurate or the appropriate way to determine...
>the density of ethanol is 789 kg/m3
I did not account for the density of the tincture itself, but it is sourced from very high abv grain alcohol. Close enough so that, for my purposes, the density of the tincture can be substituted (I don't have accurate scale, anyway).
>789 kg/m3 is equal to 0.789 g/ml
I mean... right? I'm American. Kill me.
>0.789 g/ml * 0.05 =
So, I am multiplying the density of the tincture, which is estimated based on the density of ethanol, by 5%, which is the certified cbd content.
>0.03945 g / ml
>40mg/ml
It feels so right, but I am very uncertain. I wish I had retained any bit of what I learned in high school.
