>>11867619well it's about that too, but that's easy to do since you have four decades of content to work with and the artist is really into pop culture anyway so he intentionally puts in nods to all sorts of stuff, making it cyclical.
the anime is quite good i'd certainly recommend it, though depending on your tastes it might be easiest to skip around a bit. it does the whole "completely distinct and loosely connected stories" meme where you can pick up a random season and not miss out on very much at all and i say this as the type of autist who usually refuses to watch anything if i can't start from the very beginning. that being said people's complaints about the early seasons tend to be that it's all just pretty dated "which of these grecian gods is going to punch the hardest" shit sort of like fist of the north star which is pretty different from seasons 3 or so on, but you might be into that boomer shit
the way i choose to see it is that they were trying to go through the subunit styles with hi high as 1/3, butterfly as oec, and so what as yyxy and they weren't really sure where to go from there. hopefully they settle into something good before long

was surprised to see that the playlist had been updated recently when i checked to make sure the links were still good. swede loved the comeback and i think dutchie did too but idk about anyone else. there's step and a step as well as sweet bomb but i also think i might be the only person on the planet who enjoyed those songs
