adhd meds don't really help you with the real problems of adhd.
people experience mild euphoria for the first few months because they're taking speed and convince themselves that its making their life better and helping them focus.
improved mood leads to improved enthusiasm for life and a small period of slight improvement in handling the daily tasks of life.
then after a few months it stops working, so you get your dose adjusted. maybe it works again for a little while, but then stops again.
no real improvement in productivity happens, just mood.
adhder's either realize this after a while and stop taking the meds, or they lie to themselves and others as a cope.
