Something off, awkward or sometimes unhuman about them.I really like the 1/4 facing profile perspective of that and other Greek coins, it's a unique look and exemplary demonstration of their artistic and technical skills. Coins with someone directly facing you can be spoopy tho, in the center is a silver Drachm with the face of a gorgon/Medusa which would probably give me nightmares if I look at her too long, the other gorgon drachms just look goofy but that one captures her malevolence pretty well.
