>>20204875Here's a closer shot of the thing. I believe the denticles are scales. This fragment I believe contains skull elements. The jaws were sadly missing. I have a box with another few pounds of this fish in it, but the thing was scattered and broken so not much value as a specimen. Just an interesting find that I have sitting on a shelf.
I would love to find a good toothed fish skull or even a jaw. I suppose if I go looking I could probably find the jaws off this guy, since I know exactly where the rest of the fish was located.
