Ill tell you one of my stories. Tried to get an old 21" crt monitor fixed. Took it to 2 places, both didnt do jack shit to it after telling me theyd do all this work.
First guy keeps it 7 weeks. Told me he'd replace the caps. 6 weeks later after excuses i ask him, when can you have time to fix it. he says come by monday ill work on it at 10 call me at 1 ill be done. I call he says he replaces caps on one board, ia sked how much. he tells me free, then says, its just old. (he just wants it). says nothing else. I go pick it up dont say anything. Doesnt work. Take it to another said theyd find what was wrong with it make sure it was fixed before they done jack shit. keeps it 11 weeks. get it back, exact same. I pull it apart, no caps touched. they fucked around with some soldering on a few spots on teh back like randomnly, looks intentional to make it look like they did work.
had to get the best led monitor which still has ghosting since they all do. to keep myself from having eye strain. these fuckers spend their time listening to my phone calls.
