>>14997581Genesis actually describes a creation process that is not really different from the Big Bang Theory
In the beginning God created everything by creating polar opposites. In math it would be that he made out of 0, +1 and -1 which together are still 0, but now are something. In physics this is the big bang creating out of nothing matter and anti matter, energy and dark energy, protons and electrons. In the bible its seperating heaven from earth, days from the nights, the sun from the moon, the female from the male, adams rib
In all cultures this unification comes up as a theme over and over, be it the marriage, uniting male and female, often dressed in black and white, resulting in the magic of a new kid being born, or be it the solar eclipse uniting sun and moon together. Couple thousand of years ago they talked about the same concept of the Big Bang
Though I would assume that the Big Bank Theory is rather based on the Kaballah than genesis.
I would also add that Genesis got the chronology rather similar with the small difference of the creation of the earth which is implied to exist
Day 1, light is created and seperated from darkness, basically the Big Bang, all the energy being released creating stuff.
Day 2 waters are seperated. Water was on the earth, but it was so hot it was steam. it eventually cooled down and became the waters beneath, the sea, and waters above, the clouds
Day 3, earth and sea get seperated, the landmass slowly appears and pushed through the oceans surface.
Day 4, the lights in heaven get created, this one is an odd one out, but if we assume the world was covered in fog and smoke as science tells us this now would be the time where the climate settles and things become habitable, and we get to see the lights.
Day 5, animals are created, starting with the fishes, where also science tells us life started
Day 6 Humans get created, like science tells us we came after animals, evolving from them
