>>11434183>>11434183Those sort of filters are great for air filtration - which seriously is another reason to learn about making Activated Carbon - but what you're looking for is something more like this - a GAC filter. pic related. Strictly speaking, those use replaceable fitlers you're supposed to buy, but you can DIY those pretty easily if you're mechnaically inclined.

https://www.survivopedia.com/how-to-make-activated-carbon/on a tangent with the face-mask thing - most surplus gas mask "carts" use an activated carbon stage. it's about as good as you can get for getting rid of chemical and many biological agents. if you get good at making the water carts and the activated charcoal, you can have a hell of a breathing setup, too.
