>>16602911Anyway. I say don't try to use gaming boards. Stick to that talk with people you know, it's simply more fun that way.
Now, let me write another 10 page essay about a random game. (It doesn't count when it's talking to myself.)
>that whole dynamic would be completely differentRight. I can say so as well from what I've played. It's much easier to interact with that higher echelon of the community in smaller games. And that's a nice thing, I feel like.
That's actually a part of why I dislike way more popular games. Everything feels too cold and soulless because of just how big it is. Especially if you were someone just starting out, I don't know. I grew to like the games I like a lot because actually being part of it was feasible.
When you play something like CS, you're just incredibly insignificant to it all, you know? And that does make one care less.
Do you find that in Dota?
>what happens to /v/ after aIt'd end up the same. Because at the end of the day, it's a board in 4chan. Nothing can last to be good here.
Maybe at the beginning, it might show some quality because of people who actually care sticking to it, but in no time at all it would go back to being just as bad as today.
People talking about video games in a mainstream site in 2023, hopeless.
Since you saw that post, do you use the place? If so, you would know better than I anyway.
>how long is this fucking place gonna be aroundWho knows.
But, yeah, it won't die by itself. That's like saying Reddit will quiet down. It'll die because somebody will want it gone, and it may go alongside other parts of the internet.
The only hope for it is alphabet soups figuring this place to be more helpful existing than not. It's already just a honeypot. One of these days, they might feel done with it.
It'll just be many of the things to go once they decide to "make the internet a safer place".
My bet is within the next decade.
