Astrology 101:
1.) The celestial bodies hold the power (not the stars; the planets and the two luminaries do). These are the "gods" in Greek, Norse, Roman, and various other mythologies of antiquity.
2.) The sign the planet is in determines how the power is expressed.
3.) The house the planet is in determines what area of life and what themes of life the planet will deal with.
4.) Based on how many degrees apart one planet is from another planet, they will form an "aspect" which determines how the powers (influence) of both planets in question interact with one another.
The Sun is so massive that it has a gravitational field strong enough to keep other PLANETS orbiting around it.
The Moon is in close enough proximity that its gravity pulls on the ocean and creates the tides.
We are made up of approximately 65% water. We are not exempt from the influential forces of these celestial bodies. To believe we are exempt is either ignorance at best, or arrogance at worst.
If you were connected to nature in any way you would know well the influence of the celestial bodies. Where do you think we get stories of the werewolf from? On full moons a seemingly normal/docile man turns into a beast? Where do you think we get words like lunatic, lunar madness and lunacy from? "Luna" means "Moon". Its well-known and documented that the Moon has a profound effect on life forms here on Earth. The same applies to the rest of the celestial bodies.
