Hello /pol/. In trying to face the ever increasing ammount of shills and off-topic threads on our beloved board, i've decided to start a new general of interesting infos and discussion: The Gnosis General, where gnostic ideas, beliefs and sources will be debate, to the advantage of both whose who are already gnostic, and for those who may be interested to learn more about this system of thought.

It's a term that was used for a vastly ammount of religious and phisolophical movements, often with loose connections with each other. But we can summ up the core beliefs with this sentence: Gnosticism is the belief that the material world and everything that belong on it is either inferior or evil compared to the celestial/spiritual world, and the goal of a gnostic is to break over the dark veil of matter that blind his mind and reach the hidden spiritual truth, a truth only a selected few in a sea of beast-people can achieve.
Althought mainly famous for his christian branch, it was not strictly a purely christian movement, althought biased conservation lead to the lost of most of the non-christian gnostic works.
