An overwhelming majority of them are boring nu-males IRL so they mold their entire personality around pseudo-politics, conspiracies and an illusion of self-improvement. Thanks to the smoke-screen provided by the internet, they have no drive to practice what they preach. They substitute actual effort with over-zealousness in an attempt to make people believe that they follow the rigid moral guidelines and maintain the high standard of lifestyle that they promote on their circle-jerk of a board. They constantly need to reassert the dominance they wish they could obtain via blind patriotism and being demeaning towards other nations. Even if they know what they say is untrue, to acknowledge any fault would be contradictory to the "strong, confident alpha male" image they poorly emulate.
