I ate a fried grasshopper at a weird place in texas. It was a sampler platter with a bunch of different stuff like gator meat, different snake meats, duck, other poultry, and some fish. The grasshopper wasn't terrible, but it was a weird consistency. The gator and snake meat was delicious.

You jest but it's true. It's a social/cultural matter, since it's not regard as something as socially acceptable in the west despite many countries in south east asia (thailand for example) which have a long history of eating invertebrates. In the west most people eat crustaceans which are basically the bugs of the sea, but for some reason that's not seen as "icky" kek. At the end of the day protein is protein. Not sure why right-wingers are so up in arms about something so inconsequential.

Based. Bugs farms are really small and produce food for many, also meat production increases the gas emission and occupy too much space. To produce a single 1/3-pound burger we need 660 gallons of water, useless to say that this problem is inexistent with the bugs, since they eat and drink less than a cow. Without mentioning that bugs are actually tasty, if you say they suck you never ate one. I've eaten spaghetti made out of cricket flour, uma delicia.
