The themes of Christianity is the resurrection of Jesus.
When you understand that Orphism, Cult of Dionysus, Osiris Resurrection, Greek Serapis all have the same story of a God which was torn apart and rebirthed again then you will realize that this is the theme of Christianity.
Now understanding Gods means to understand how phenomena occur externally (in the cosmos) and how they shape soul and spirit (matter) here on earth. The same "resurrection" is discussed by psychology pioneer Carl Jung. His concept of Individuation is purely his interpretation of the orphic and Christian myth of resurrection.
The individuation process is that man is born with a conscious and unconscious mind, he must "die" or destroy his ego and head into the unconscious to find in himself latent creative powers. Once he discovers these powers he can rebirth his ego to be come a more stable being in control of his psyche with a higher awareness and potential as a human being.
