Background: I'm what you'd call a 30 year old boomer, wife and kids, little house in the suburbs and go to a local church. I come here mostly for news and to participate in Christian threads, but aside from some off color jokes and shitposting (which is 90% satire) I just share information I find interesting about world events. I don't have weapons, nor do I advocate for violence or anything like that, so as far as threats are concerned I feel like I'm pretty harmless.
About a year ago (back when we had picture CAPTCHA's) I made a thread about identifying media subversion tactics and the images started to be from around my neighborhood. More recently (last few months especially) I've started getting weird phone calls from unknown numbers where no one picks up, sometimes several times a day. This last week alone I've been woken up twice at night to strange sounds outside my house. I have no history of anxiety or anything, but I suddenly have this general "I'm being watched" feeling all the time that I've never had before, like hairs standing up on the back of my neck 27/4. I know I'm being watched.
What I don't understand is why now?
I've never done anything illegal on here or otherwise. I've never threatened anyone. I can't imagine what would have instigated this sudden increase in glowie harassment.
Has anyone else had any experiences like this and/or know what precipitated it?
