>>13482622yeah, my previous implementation simply wasn't working at all, but i knew that was a strong possibility going in. while still slightly ambitious the new system is much more realistic in scope.
on the bright side the skill system was a total success and doesn't need any major changes
>>13482624yeah if i were to guess the big ones will probably end up around 100 songs at most when all is said and done
>not to spam himi've had my fill already
>>13482629basically they were originally magic slugs and decided that being a slug fucking sucks, so they built big sturdy piles of rock then developed the magic to just move their soul into inanimate objects
the fun parts about the nuance of it all is that the spell for abandoning your original body and the spell for inhabiting something new are two totally different things and the former has been lost to time so golems can technically possess whatever the hell they want but no new golems can be made. on the other hand mental digitization is a very well documented process but once you're moved into something new you go insane if you can't look into the mirror and believe that it's "you" so literally anyone can just become an architect if they've got the money, but the range of options for their new body is relatively narrow
it really all leaves space for a LOT of really fun ideas in my mind
