ITT we write sermons the churches of the world need to hear
Rules:
1. Do not reply to shills, strawmen or bait. If you reply to someone who isnt arguing in good faith you lose.
The first one, especially for the faithful on here:
Do not lose heart when people mock you for being weak, citing that we shall love our enemies and bless those that persecute us, but they dont understand what this means.
Is it love to watch your friend run blindfolded towards the abyss without warning him? Is it love to watch someone OD on drugs without helping him? Likewise to love our enemies is the desire for them to stop destroying themselves through their sins. Blessing them that God may direct them onto the right path, away from their wickedness, so that we not only lose an enemy, but also gain a friend. Thats why our brother Paul advices us
>1Brothers, if someone is caught in a trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him with a spirit of gentleness. But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted. 2Carry one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
Further the love for your enemy does not negate the love for your family, friends and nation we are called to protect. As we told
>7Give these instructions to the believers, so that they will be above reproach. 8 If anyone does not provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
Isnt security and stability among the most essential things to provide?
Our main task is to resist sin after all. So when we can endure it we endure the persecutions of ourselves while working on their improvement peacefully (as far as it is possible), but at the same time we cant look away when other innocents are harmed and are called to give our lives even for God and his will, as we are commanded
>17Learn to do right; seek justice and correct the oppressor. Defend the fatherless and plead the case of the widow.”
Remember, Christians conquered the world
