I noticed this site has such different and strong opinions on anime and manga compared to its actual japanese audience that make a real difference to the show's ratings, and it's a constant battle on whoever has "better" or "shittier" tastes, when niche japanese otaku blogs back then that I know of didn't even have these kind of discussions.

How long has this been going on? I'm sure a and the rest of the site wasn't always like this, what happened?
